TELL US ALITTLE ABOUT YOUR LIFE OUTSIDE OF DENTISTRY—WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO COLORADO, AND HOW DO YOU LIKE TO SPEND YOUR FREE TIME?
I’m originally from Canada but moved to Denver less than a year ago. My fiancée is from Colorado, so being here has been wonderful—it feels like home for her, and I love that we’re closer to her family.
Outside of work, I’m a big foodie. I enjoy cooking at home and experimenting with recipes from different cultures, but I’m also always on the lookout for great restaurant recommendations. I’m a big sports fan too, so I like keeping up with games and standings. On weekends, you’ll usually find me cooking, watching a game, playing video games,
or just enjoying time with family.
WHAT IS ONE PIECE OF DENTAL ADVICE YOU WISH EVERYONE WOULD FOLLOW, AND WHY?
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A DENTIST? WHAT KEEPS YOU INSPIRED?
My older sister is a physician, and I followed her lead into healthcare. I’ve been fortunate to have a supportive family who has always encouraged me to push myself and believed in my potential.
What keeps me inspired today are the patients who place their trust in me—especially those who may not have seen a dentist in years because of anxiety or past experiences. To be chosen as their provider and help them get back on track is both humbling and rewarding.
TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR PROFESSIONAL LIFE:
I graduated from NYU College of Dentistry with a DDS and have been
practicing since 2021. I’ve had the fortune to be able to practice in
multiple states and countries, which has helped me pick up a lot of great
techniques and tips to improve the care I provide. I enjoy surgical and
cosmetic work, but what matters most to me is working with patients in
a non-judgmental and low-stress way.
My goal is always to create a treatment plan together—balancing what
we see clinically with what the patient feels is most important—so they
leave feeling heard, comfortable, and confident in their care. Life can be
stressful enough on its own; as a dentist, I like to try and make what
could be a stressful visit and make it more relaxed and comfortable.
DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT WORK DAY:
HOW DO YOU STAY CURRENT WITH THE LATEST DENTAL TECHNIQUES AND TECHNOLOGIES?
One of the best parts of dentistry is that you never stop learning. I’ve
taken a variety of continuing education courses across restorative
dentistry, implants, extractions, and more. But some of my biggest
breakthroughs have come from casual conversations with colleagues—
picking their brains, hearing what’s working for them, reviewing x-rays
together, and then bringing those ideas back to my own patients. | like
to think you can learn from anyone and anywhere, whether that be
colleagues, CE courses, social media, or reading research articles.
